Police responding to fatal traffic crash at Pinkenba

Police are investigating a fatal two vehicle traffic crash that occurred at Pinkenba this afternoon.

Around 1.40pm emergency services were called to Main Myrtletown Road where a car and truck had collided head on.

The male driver and sole occupant of the car was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The driver of the truck, a 33-year-old Coomera man, sustained serious leg injuries and was transported to Royal Brisbane Hospital. The 23-year-old female passenger of the truck was treated for minor injuries.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
