Police responding to serious traffic incident at Parkinson

Police are investigating a serious traffic incident in Parkinson today.

Just before 7am, a utility was travelling south on Algester Road when it crossed to the other side of the road, mounted the kerb and hit a 16-year-old boy before crashing into a fence.

The boy sustained serious injuries and was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital for treatment where he is in a serious condition.

The 17-year-old male driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was not physically injured during the incident.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
