Police seek information: Robbery with violence at Logan

Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage after a woman was assaulted and vehicle stolen during a violent robbery in Logan Central this morning (January 4).

Initial investigations indicate just before 5:30am the victim was sitting in a white Toyota Corolla near Wembley Road before a female approached the vehicle’s passenger side door.

The female then proceeded to steal several items from the victim’s vehicle before running towards a silver Nissan Dualis.

A man has then entered the victim’s vehicle and attempted to drive off, prompting the victim to reach through the driver’s window and attempt to take the keys from the ignition.

The female offender has then come back from the SUV and proceeded to assault the victim, knocking her off the vehicle.

The female offender then got into the SUV and fled with the male who drove away in the victim’s Corolla.

The two vehicles were last seen heading along Wellbeck Street.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed this incident, might have seen either the white Toyota Corolla with rego plates 715CV3 or the silver Nissan Dualis with stolen rego plates 087CJ5 or have dashcam footage to come forward.

Investigators would also like to speak with a motorcycle rider captured on CCTV who may have witnessed the incident or is able to provide information to assist.

The victim, a 29 year-old woman, was treated for minor injuries at hospital.

Investigations continue.
