Police Update 1: Missing Woman At Newtown

Police have released CCTV footage as part of ongoing investigations into missing Toowoomba woman, Jana Armstrong.

Jana was last seen at a Gordon Avenue address in Newtown on the afternoon of 7 July.

Her vehicle a 2019 white Hyundai Kona with Queensland registration 273ZHQ, was located on the corner of Jellicoe Street and Gordon Avenue at approximately 6am on 8 July.

Jana was last seen wearing a green and white striped Country Road shirt, jeans and thongs (pictured).

The vehicle (pictured in CCTV) is believed to have travelled through a number of locations around Toowoomba on the evening of 7 July and investigators are seeking assistance from the public to help identify its movements.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have information, relevant CCTV footage or dashcam vision of the vehicle in the following locations and times to come forward:

  • Tabletop Drive, Rangeville between 9-10pm, 7 July
  • Preston Road, Preston around 10pm, 7 July
  • Charker Street, Darling Heights at around 10.15pm, 7 July
  • Gordon Avenue Newtown between the hours of 3am and 5am, 8 July

Earlier today specialist police with assistance from SES conducted a search in an area along Tabletop Drive at Rangeville. This followed extensive searches of Black Gully Reserve at Newtown yesterday.

Investigations are ongoing, and police are urging members of the public to come forward with any information that may assist in locating Jana.
