Three teenagers have been charged following an alleged assault at a business in Sydney’s north west yesterday.
About 1.35pm yesterday (Thursday 9 July 2026), officers attached to The Hills Police Area Command were called to a shopping centre on Market Lane, Rouse Hill, following reports of an assault.
Police attended and were told three teenage girls entered a business before allegedly assaulting three girls – aged 14, 15 and 16 – inside the store at the time, before leaving the scene.
During the assault, police will allege the group damaged the 16-year-old girl’s mobile phone.
The victims sustained minor injuries and did not require further treatment.
Officers were further told the group proceeded to enter another business before allegedly stealing an item and leaving the store.
Following inquiries, about 3.45pm the same day (Thursday 9 July 2026), officers attached to Police Transport Command Quakers Hill were patrolling a train station on Railway Street, Chatswood, where they arrested three teenage girls – aged 15, 16 and 19 – before they were taken to Hornsby Police Station.
During a search of the teenagers, police allegedly located and seized multiple items believed to be stolen.
The 15-year-old girl was charged with affray, common assault, and breach of bail. She was also charged with an outstanding warrant for assault related offences.
The 16-year-old girl was charged with affray, common assault, destroy of damage property, shoplifting, receive/dispose stolen property less than or equal to $5,000, goods in personal custody suspected being stolen and breach of bail. She was also charged with an outstanding warrant for assault related offences.
The 19-year-old was charged with affray, larceny, receive/dispose stolen property less than or equal to $5,000, shoplifting, and goods in personal custody suspected being stolen.
The 15-year-old and 16-year-old were refused bail to appear before a Children’s Court today (Friday 10 July 2026), whilst the 19-year-old was granted conditional bail to appear before Hornsby Local Court on Wednesday 22 July 2026.
