The rider of a Yamaha CY50 has died as a result of injuries sustained in a traffic crash yesterday in Morayfield.
About 9pm, two men were riding a Yamaha CY50 along Caboolture River Road towards Morayfield Road when they were struck from behind by a dark coloured vehicle.
The moped then hit a 4WD that was stationary on Kenneth Street waiting to turn left into Caboolture River Road.
The rider, a 30-year-old Caboolture South man, was transported to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital where he died earlier tonight.
The pillion passenger, a 32-year-old Caboolture South man, died at the scene.
Police tonight seized a dark coloured Skoda Octavia from a Nambour address.
A 38 year-old man is currently assisting police with their inquiries.
