Police update: Charges – Property offences – Northern Suburbs

Northern Territory Police have charged four people in relation to property offences in the northern suburbs on Tuesday.

Police arrested two females and a male on Tuesday evening shortly after the alleged offending.

Detectives from Strike Force Trident arrested the remaining 19-year-old male yesterday morning. He was later charged with:

  • 2 x Aggravated robbery
  • 1 x Aggravated unlawful use of motor vehicle
  • 1 x Stealing
  • 1 x Trespass on premises

Police further charged him with a domestic violence offence not related to the property offending:

  • 1 x Aggravated assault

He was remanded to appear before Darwin Local Court today.

A 20-year-old male was charged with:

  • 2 x Aggravated robbery
  • 1 x Aggravated unlawful use of motor vehicle
  • 1 x Stealing
  • 1 x Drive manner dangerous during pursuit
  • 1 x Drive medium range BAC

He was also charged with domestic violence offences not related to the property offending:

  • 2 x Aggravated assault
  • 1 x Choking, strangling or suffocating

He was remanded to appear before Darwin Local Court today.

A 19-year-old female was charged with:

  • 1 x Aggravated unlawful use of motor vehicle
  • 1 x Aggravated robbery
  • 1 x Stealing

She was remanded to appear in Darwin Local Court today.

An 18-year-old female was issued a Notice to Appear for:

  • 1 x Aggravated unlawful use of motor vehicle

She is due to appear in Alice Springs Local Court on 12 January 2022.

Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Bland said, “Police would like to thank members of public for their assistance in both alerting police to these disgraceful incidents, and providing information in our subsequent call for witnesses.”
