Police update: Fatal traffic crash in Cape Cleveland, QLD

Police have identified the person who passed away in the Cape Cleveland traffic crash on April 10.

A 23-year-old Cungulla man was declared deceased at the scene of a two-vehicle traffic crash in Cape Cleveland on Monday.

Around 1.30pm, two vehicles were travelling along Carty Road near Goodsell Road when they collided and caught fire.

The driver of the Toyota Camry was declared deceased at the scene.

Two people travelling in a Toyota Landcruiser, a 60-year-old female driver and an 81-year-old male passenger, were transported to Townsville University Hospital in a critical condition.

Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances of the traffic crash.
