* HHS level case data may include a patient’s residential address, Public Health Unit managing or location where test was ordered.

** Changes may occur in the number of notifications reported from day to day. This is due to ongoing maintenance and update of notification details as new information becomes available, or where discrepancies are detected through data quality assurance activities.

***Following updated data relating an earlier reported death at Blackwater, formal advice from the Coroner is that the man’s death is not related to COVID-19. As such, Queensland Health has removed the death from the case numbers, revising Queensland’s death total.

While the death has been removed, the total cases for Queensland remained unchanged as the case is consistent with the national definition of a confirmed COVID-19 case.

On 1 June, 2020, stage 2 of Queensland’s Roadmap to Easing Restrictions came into effect. Changes include:

  • Queenslanders can travel within Queensland, with no limit on distance except for discrete First nations communities restricted under the Biosecurity Act
  • Queenslanders can stay overnight or longer at a place that is not your home.

This easing of restrictions does not apply to biosecurity or restricted zones for indigenous communities.
