  • Series of regional events announced alongside the premier agrifood technology event, evokeAG.

The Cook Government will showcase regional Western Australia and its unique food and beverage producers to international visitors next year as part of AgriFutures evokeAG.2024.

Thousands of people from around the globe are expected to attend the Asia-Pacific region’s premier agrifood technology event at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre during 20-21 February.

Visitors can now also register to participate in regional tours across the South West, Great Southern and Mid West, that will promote the State’s leading agrifood businesses and primary producers.

The series of regional tours will kick off with a barbeque at the WA Museum on 21 February to highlight and celebrate WA’s nine unique regions.

The three-day South West leg will highlight the region’s spectacular natural beauty, fertile farmland as well as its premium food and wine. The itinerary will feature local industry success stories and the location’s comparative advantages.

In the Great Southern, a two-day journey will include renowned coastal attractions such as the iconic Gap and Natural Bridge, and cultural experiences. It will also feature distillery, premium winery and oyster farm visits.

The Mid West will offer a three-day agenda, showing off the region’s prominent Western Rock Lobster industry, diverse and active port facilities, broadacre technology applications and a visit to the unique Abrolhos Islands.

The tours are being delivered through the Regional Development Commissions in partnership with the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development.
