Safety warning ahead of Good Things Music Festival in Sydney

Look after yourself and keep an eye on your mates, is the key message from NSW Police and event organisers ahead of the Good Thing Music Festival this Saturday (7 December 2019).

To ensure the safety of revellers, police will be targeting anti-social behaviour in and around the venue, as well as on the public transport network.

The possession or consumption of illegal substances will not be tolerated. Anyone found to be intoxicated on arrival will be refused entry by the Good Things security team and if found intoxicated in the venue, you may be removed.

There will be uniformed and plain-clothes officers on-site using a range of strategies which include drug-detection dogs.

Commander of Eastern Beaches Police Area Command, Superintendent Rohan Cramsie said the safety of festival goers is the number one priority.

“We expect everyone will act in a responsible manner and ensure they’re looking after their friends during the course of the day.

“Our officers hope attendees enjoy the event, but remember that there is no safe way to take illegal drugs.”
