Schools To Get Creative With Curriculum

VIC Premier

Thanks to the Allan Labor Government, Victorian students will have the chance to build new creative skills with applications now open for the 2025 Creative Learning Partnerships program.

Minister for Creative Industries Colin Brooks today invited public, independent and catholic schools across the state to apply for the program, which supports schools to work with artists, creative collectives and companies on a creative residency project that is linked to the curriculum.

Grants of $10,000 are available for schools to partner with an individual artist or $35,000 to partner with a creative collective or company, with residency projects happening in Terms 2 to 4 in 2025.

The Labor Government has supported creative education programs for more than 40 years and has connected more than 1500 artists with 1200 schools – giving 70,000 students unique and exciting creative experiences.

Projects supported through the 2024 round of Creative Learning Partnerships are currently underway, with 20 Victorian schools from collaborating with creative workers from a wide range of disciplines including theatre, circus, visual arts, filmmaking, Indigenous art, writing and 3D printing.

Applications for the 2025 round of the Creative Learning Partnerships program close Thursday, 12 September 2024. For more information, including eligibility and previous recipients, visit: creative.vic.gov.au/creative-learning-partnerships.
