Key Facts:
- Eaoron, Australia’s largest skincare export brand, reports that its four-piece hyaluronic acid range – comprising a toner, lotion, cream, and glutathione essence – is its best-selling line heading into the Australian winter.
- The range has been boosted by the skin flooding trend, which involves layering water-based hydrators beneath a moisturiser to rebuild the skin’s barrier – a routine particularly relevant during winter when heated air and hot showers deplete moisture.
- The glutathione essence is the range’s top-selling product, combining hyaluronic acid with glutathione to deliver hydration and brightening in a single step; it is rooted in a product launched in 2014 that sold over 10 million units in its first year.
- Founded in 2014 and manufactured in Australia by Australian United Pharmaceuticals, Eaoron produces approximately 50 million units annually, retails through Chemist Warehouse, Priceline, and Woolworths domestically, and exports to 20 markets, with China accounting for nearly 70 per cent of sales.
- CEO Fernando Rodriguez noted that the hydration-first routine is simultaneously gaining traction across Sydney, Shanghai, and Kuala Lumpur, suggesting the trend reflects genuine consumer results rather than a short-lived social media phenomenon.
SYDNEY, Australia, 29 July 2026: Eaoron, Australia’s largest skincare export brand, says its four-piece hyaluronic acid range, made up of a toner, lotion, cream and its glutathione essence, is its best-selling line heading into the Australian winter, as the “skin flooding” hydration routine drives shoppers toward layered, water-first skincare.
Skin flooding, the practice of layering thin, water-based hydrators such as hyaluronic acid under a moisturiser to rebuild the skin’s barrier, has become one of 2026’s most-searched skincare routines. It lands at the point in the calendar when it matters most in Australia: heated indoor air and hot showers strip moisture from the skin through winter, leaving the barrier dry and reactive. A layered hyaluronic routine is the direct answer to that problem, which is why demand concentrates in the colder months rather than summer.
Eaoron’s range is built for that sequence. The toner, lotion and cream each carry hyaluronic acid at different weights, while the glutathione essence, the range’s best-selling product, pairs hyaluronic acid with glutathione so hydration and brightening happen in a single step. The essence traces back to the product Eaoron launched on in 2014, an early hyaluronic acid essence that sold more than 10 million units in its first year and set the brand’s direction.
That direction has since made Eaoron Australia’s largest skincare export. Founded in 2014 and manufactured in Australia by Australian United Pharmaceuticals, the brand produces roughly 50 million units a year across its essences, creams and masks, sells through Chemist Warehouse, Priceline and Woolworths at home, and ships to 20 markets including China, Vietnam, Malaysia and Mexico. China accounts for close to 70 per cent of sales, though the hyaluronic range is manufactured to the same specification wherever it is sold.
“Hydration has quietly become the step people build a routine around, not the one they add at the end,” said Fernando Rodriguez, CEO of Eaoron. “The essence sits at the centre of that because glutathione and hyaluronic acid do two different jobs in one step, and shoppers worked that out well before the trend gave it a name.”
Rodriguez said the pattern is now visible across Eaoron’s export markets at once. “We are watching the same routine take hold in Sydney, Shanghai and Kuala Lumpur in the same season. When a trend moves that fast across borders, it usually means people have found something that works, not just something they have seen online. We expect hydration-first to outlast the hashtag.”
