Southern Cannabis Holdings Welcomes Streamlining of Cannabis Laws in Western Australia

Southern Cannabis Holdings (SCH) is pleased to note the streamlining of regulations governing access to medicinal cannabis in Western Australia today.

WA Health Minister Roger Cook announced that GPs will now be able to prescribe medicinal cannabis via TGA special access approval and that specialist prescriptions are no longer required for the majority of people seeking medicinal cannabis.

This move brings WA in line with the major eastern states, which do not currently require specialist support medicinal cannabis approvals from the TGA.
