Special tweetment for budgie in blue

Protected Service Officers are set to reunite a lost budgerigar with its owner later today after it was found on a platform at Ascot Vale railway station over the weekend.

Officers patrolling the railway station swooped in on the lost bird, seen sitting on the yellow line of the platform, on Saturday night about 7.25pm.

There was no ruffling any feathers when one of the officers held out their finger; the budgie jumped on and climbed up to the shoulder of the PSO.

PSOs made attempts to find the owner posting on social media however it wasn’t until the owner posted their own ‘lost’ sign at the railway station that PSOs were able to track the woman down last night.

Obviously loved and sadly missed the owner broke down in tears when she was told her boy in blue had been found.

The budgie was cared for by one of our PSOs who already has a number of budgies until the owner could be located.

He was safe and well having received impeccable tweetment.

We’d say this boy isn’t going to budge from his owner for a while.

It is expected the budgie will be reunited with his owner later today.
