The Code Yellow at Royal Darwin and Palmerston Hospital (RDPH) was lifted earlier today.
Elective surgery restrictions will be eased, with increased elective surgery starting from tomorrow. Some limitations will remain while hospital capacity continues to be closely monitored. Patients whose surgery was deferred as a result of the Code Yellow will be contacted with a new surgery date as soon as possible.
Patient safety is always our priority and the dedicated and expert staff at RDPH work hard every day to ensure Territorians continue to receive the best patient centred care possible.
We continue to urge people who have non-emergency health needs to see their GP as soon as they become sick to try to avoid becoming acutely unwell.
