Police are appealing for information following a suspicious fire at a tattoo parlour in the state’s north this morning.
About 2.30am (Sunday 23 January 2022), emergency services responded to reports of an explosion at a business on Ballina Road, Lismore Heights.
On arrival, Fire and Rescue NSW officers located the parlour well-alight.
The blaze was extinguished a short time later; however, the building has been significantly damaged.
No one was in the premises at the time of the fire and there have been no reports of injury.
Officers attached to Richmond Police District attended and established a crime scene.
Initial inquiries have led police to believe the fire was deliberately lit and police are appealing for anyone who witnessed any suspicious behaviour around the area at the time of the incident, or who has dashcam footage, to come forward.
Anyone with information about this incident is urged to contact Crime Stoppers: 1800 333 000 or https://nsw.crimestoppers.com.au. Information is treated in strict confidence. The public is reminded not to report information via NSW Police social media pages.
