Teenagers charged with drug supply, NSW

A man and teenage boy will appear in court today after being charged with drug offences in Sydney last night.

About 8.50pm (Friday 5 July 2019), officers from Surry Hills Police Area Command’s Proactive Crime Team witnessed a man enter a vehicle on Oxford Street, Paddington, and exit shortly after.

A 28-year-old was stopped by police and allegedly found in possession of a drug, believed to be cocaine.

He was issued a Field Court Attendance Notice for possess prohibited drug.

A short time later, officers stopped the vehicle the man was allegedly seen exiting and a 19-year-old man and 15-year-old boy were inside.

During a search of the vehicle, cash was seized, and the older man was allegedly found in possession of a drug, believed to be cocaine.

The pair were arrested and taken to Surry Hills Police Station where they were charged with supply prohibited drug (x2), possess prohibited drug and deal with property proceeds of crime.

They were both refused bail, with the older man to appear at Parramatta Bail Court, and the boy at a Children’s Court, today (Saturday 6 July 2019).
