Bayside City Council has transitioned to a new bin collection contractor, with Cleanaway picking up operations on July 1.
Due to the transition to a new contractor, the collection of bins may take place at different times of the day than what people are used to.
However, it’s important to assure everyone that the bins will still be collected on the same day as scheduled.
Please wait until after 6pm on the day of your collection before reporting a missed bin.
In line with our commitment to sustainability, the new waste truck fleet contains an electric vehicle, reflecting our dedication to reducing carbon emissions and promoting eco friendly practices as outlined in the Climate Emergency Action Plan.
The new waste collection fleet includes smaller profile vehicles designed to service harder to access areas within the municipality.
The new trucks showcase three fresh designs that include iconic landmarks in Bayside.
All the new fleet are fitted with the latest cutting-edge safety technology and advanced camera systems that can be used to track and monitor contamination.
