Townsville City Council’s IT Service Operations Team has been named a winner at the Customer Service Institute of Australia’s (CSIA) 2020 Australian Service Excellence Awards.
The Council team has been recognised with a Service Champion award in the Customer Service Team of the Year – Large category.
Business Services and Finance Committee chairperson Kurt Rehbein said it was a great win for the team.
“Council is very proud of the efforts of the IT Service Operations Team, which were in the running against finalists like Commonwealth Bank and Wilson Security,” Cr Rehbein said.
“This win just goes to show that we have fantastic local talent here in Townsville, and that we are able to go toe-to-toe with other leading organisations across the country.
“A massive well done to the team, who continue to go above and beyond in their role.”
The 2020 Australian Service Excellence Awards were held last night, Thursday 22 October.
