Sadly, a 63-year-old man has died after an incident involving a falling tree in Northern Tasmania this afternoon.
Police and emergency services were called to the scene at Golden Valley shortly after 5pm, after the man was found trapped beneath the tree.
Initial inquiries indicate the man was felling trees on large private bush property.
He died at the scene.
Our thoughts are with the man’s family and loved ones.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
