Detectives from the Crime Command Homicide Investigation Unit and Ayr Criminal Investigation Branch have charged a woman following investigations into the death of a 56-year-old man in Ayr in August 2023.
A 70-year-old Forest Lake woman was arrested by detectives yesterday and charged with one count of murder (domestic violence). She is expected to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court today.
On 10 August 2023, emergency services were called to an Alice Street residence after the man was located unresponsive.
He was pronounced deceased at the scene. Due to the circumstances, police commenced an investigation, and a crime scene was established.
Investigations into the death of the man have been complex, with detectives conducting extensive and thorough inquiries into his health, care, and treatment throughout his life.
