Students, teachers and families at Bayswater South Primary School are set to benefit under a new commitment announced today by the Liberals and Nationals.
Under the plan, a Matt Guy Liberals and Nationals Government would provide $11.07 million for significant upgrades to Bayswater South Primary School.
This upgrade is long overdue with Bayswater South Primary School being over 50 years old, and with almost 400 students occupying every single room and office space available.
The commitment will include significant upgrades that would transform the existing learning spaces and environment for both students and teachers who are constantly affected by the many issues they must deal with in their current buildings.
Shadow Minister for Education, David Hodgett, said the Liberals and Nationals were committed to supporting students with strong investments for their future.
“With so many families moving into the growing eastern suburbs, and more homes on the horizon, this is a necessary and sensible commitment and needs to be done urgently.”
Member for Ferntree Gully and Liberal Candidate for Bayswater, Nick Wakeling, said today’s announcement gives students and teachers access to the very best facilities.
