Bureau of Meteorology forecast today – Thunderstorm likely, possibly severe with damaging winds, large hail and heavy rain which may lead to flash flooding in the afternoon and evening.
Potential for some minor flash flooding and further road closures due to the already saturated ground.
Stay away from storm channels and drains – you never know what debris is in the water or if the water is contaminated.

Community Recovery Hubs
Community Recovery Hubs are now open in Ormeau and Palm Beach for those affected by floods.
- Ormeau Community Centre, 3 Cuthbert Drive, Ormeau. 9am to 5pm daily.
- Palm Beach 11th Ave Community Space, 26 Eleventh Ave, Palm Beach. 9am to 5pm daily.
Several services including Australian Red Cross, The Salvation Army, UCQ Lifeline and City of Gold Coast will be based at the Community Recovery Hubs for anyone needing support or access to community services.

Call the Community Recovery Hotline on 1800 173 349 or contact your local emergency relief provider or counselling service if you are experiencing emotional stress or personal financial hardship from the recent rainfall and flooding event.

Eligible individuals and families who have been impacted by the floods can claim financial assistance through:
Clean up and waste removal
All Waste and Recycling Centres are open as normal.
City crews are gearing up to continue the clean up tomorrow. Today we’re responding where we’re needed and prioritising across the city.
City crews were out again yesterday conducting kerbside services in targeted areas impacted by flooding to assist with clean up.
As more reports of damage come in we’ll continue to adjust our response.

Beaches
All Gold Coast beaches are closed due to hazardous surf conditions.
Remember if it’s flooded forget it.
