WA Health is reporting a total of 697 new cases in the past week to 4pm yesterday (27/07/2023). As of 4pm yesterday, there were 368 active cases in Western Australia.
As at 4pm yesterday, there were a total of 100 people with COVID-19 in hospital, with two in ICU.
Sadly, this week’s report to 4pm yesterday includes 60 deaths*, dating back to March 2022, which were reported to WA Health in the last week, aged from 29 to 101 years.

Total PCR tests for the timeframe were 4,573.
Total positive PCR tests for the timeframe were 175. Total positive rapid antigen tests (RATs) in this period were 522.
WA has recorded 1,350,218 cases since the COVID-19 pandemic began.
Anyone experiencing symptoms is strongly encouraged to stay home if they’re unwell, and until symptoms have resolved.
*Number of deaths reported this week is a result of recently concluded coronial investigations and a backlog of death certificates received. Of the 60 deaths reported this week, six were recently concluded coronial cases. Of the remaining 54 deaths, eight were deaths that occurred in July 2023 and the rest had a date of death ranging from March 2022 to June 2023 (five in 2022 and 49 in 2023).
