North Sydney Council is asking the community to share their ideas as planning begins for upgrades to four popular recreation areas across the LGA.
Council is seeking to better understand how the spaces are currently used, what people value most about them and what improvements would best meet the needs of current and future users before any concept designs are prepared.
Council is particularly interested in hearing about accessibility opportunities and barriers, the needs of children of different ages and abilities and local knowledge relating to safety, comfort, access and park amenities.
The consultation will help inform renewal and upgrade works at:
Ilbery Playground, Neutral Bay
Berry Island Playground, Wollstonecraft
Tunks Park Playground, Cammeray
Outdoor fitness equipment at Tunks Park, Cammeray
Community members are encouraged to share what they value about each location, how they currently use the spaces and what features or experiences they would like to see included in future upgrades.
Feedback collected during this early stage of the project will help shape the design brief and guide the development of future concept designs.
