Will Hodgman has left Tasmanian communities with little or no ambulance coverage and ignoring desperate pleas from hard-working paramedics.
In the election campaign the Liberals promised 42 new regionals paramedics, but 16 months later they have employed just one.
Shadow Health Minister said health promises from Will Hodgman were worthless.
“Will Hodgman has failed to keep his promises on health time and time again,” Ms Lovell said.
“With health and the ambulance system in the firing line from the Government’s $450 million in budget cuts, we know things will keep getting worse.
“Last week heard from desperate paramedics how an ambulance from Mowbray had to do a 400km round trip to Bridgewater just to cover the area.
“In Parliament Sarah Courtney failed to answer basic questions about how often cities and towns were left without cover because of ambulance ramping.
“This is not good enough. Our paramedics and the Tasmanian community deserve so much better.”
