2021 Community Building Partnership Grant Applications Now Open

Community Building Partnership grants provide funding for infrastructure projects which enhance facilities, meet community needs and increase community participation.

Applications open today and close on Friday 14 May 2021.

Organisations can apply for grants ranging from $5,000 to $150,000.

“Community Building Partnership grants are always extremely competitive in Wollongong, with the 2020 round receiving nearly $2 million in funding applications.”

“I am very pleased that with a little funding help that is available through Community Building Partnership grants, many projects are able to get up and running faster to save sporting and community groups years of fundraising through sausage sizzles and raffles.”

“There are great projects in Wollongong so I encourage organisations to get their applications in to try and secure a share of the available funding”, Mr Scully said.

In 2020, 21 local organisations secured grants including the Mission to Seafarers at Port Kembla, Wollongong Emergency Family Housing, Fernhill Junior Soccer Club, Towradgi Surf Life Saving Club, Wests Illawarra Aquatic Swim Club and Project Contemporary Artspace.

The Community Building Partnership program was first established in 2010 under the former NSW Labor Government.
