AgForce’s Red Meat Dinner during Ekka provided the perfect opportunity for AgForce to seek industry-wide support for a nature positive statement that can be used when advocating not only within our industry, but also to the community at large.

The event, on August 10, saw influential industry figures and organisations come together to celebrate the success of the sector and showcase the sustainability and importance of the red meat industry.

Queensland Senator Susan McDonald was in attendance, so too members from Queensland’s Legislative Assembly, as well as staff from the Queensland Department of Agriculture and Fisheries, and representatives from Cattle Australia, WoolProducers Australia, Red Meat Advisory Council, the Australian Live Export Council, JBS, and Teys, to name just a few.

Your Livestock Commodity Board Presidents Peter Hall and Stephen Tully, spoke of the remarkable efforts from their respective Board’s Directors, highlighting the work of AgForce’s Cattle and Sheep, Wool & Goats Boards, and they ways in which they operate to ensure industry growth and sustainability.

AgForce does this by building robust networks and relationships within industry and with governments, serving as a foundation for collaboration and effective policy making, ultimately driving innovation and progress.

It is imperative that industry continues to move forward positively, seeking to build upon industry’s great story and deliver powerful messages about our red meat production.

Industry’s success, is achieved through outcomes that benefit nature and the unique environments in which we live. A message that needs to be widely shared.
