Appeal after aggravated break and enter, car stolen, NSW

An investigation is underway after a man was injured and a vehicle was stolen in an aggravated break and enter in the Sutherland Shire overnight.

About 3.30am (Monday 13 December 2021), emergency services were called to a home on Holt Road, Taren Point, after reports of an assault and vehicle theft.

Police were told three unknown males gained entry to the home and stole a set of keys before they were confronted by a male occupant.

The man, aged 35, was struck in the shoulder with a metal pole before the males stole a white Toyota Corolla and fled the scene.

Officers attached to Sutherland Police Area Command attended and established a crime scene.

The males are described as being of Mediterranean/ Middle Eastern appearance, between 20 and 30 years of age.

The occupant was treated for minor injuries.
