Appeal after woman hit by car, NSW

Police are appealing for information following a hit-and-run incident in Croydon Park last night.

Just after 10.30pm (Friday 8 July 2022), emergency services were called to Georges River Road – near the intersection of Lennartz Street – Croydon Park, after reports a woman had been hit by a car.

Officers attached to Burwood Police Area Command attended along with NSW Ambulance paramedics, who treated the 20-year-old woman for head and leg injuries, before she was taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in a stable condition.

Police have been told that a vehicle struck woman as she was exiting her parked vehicle, before driving from the scene.

A crime scene was established and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident has commenced by officers from the Crash Investigation Unit.

Initial inquiries have led police to believe the vehicle may be a white Toyota Corolla or a vehicle of similar description.
