ASHS Convenes Its Annual Conference in Las Vegas

The American Society for Horticultural Science hosts its international conference every summer offering an illuminating exchange of ideas and methodology that is critical to those working in the various fields of horticultural science and its education. But the sessions are also accessible to interested non-scientists who generally discover an importance tied to the information being exchanged.

This year, the conference takes place in Las Vegas, NV, from July 21-25 at the Tropicana Hotel.

Attendees will be treated to a stunning array exhibitions, presentations, and tours geared to advance the contemporary level of understanding of horticultural science and the green industry https://ashs.confex.com/ashs/2019/meetingapp.cgi/Home/0. Plus there will be ample guidance and opportunity for anyone interested in pursuing a career path within these fields to discover opportunities, to learn how to orchestrate educational goals structured toward this particular branch of academia, and to interact with professionals who can connect you with your ideal position.

Presentations from internationally respected speakers are a staple at the ASHS Annual Conference, and this year is no exception. Topics will range from dealing with water scarcity and the stewardship required to address it, modern farming techniques targeting the crisis of food shortages, operating growth chambers and controlled environments, to harnessing weed control and pest management with eco-friendly sensibilities.

Opportunities for field trips and tours abound at the Las Vegas conference. Participants will be afforded chances to visit the historic Hoover Dam, certain vineyards and wineries, the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, the largest indoor vertical farming facility in the United States, and crucial hotspots along The Las Vegas Strip where interiorscaping has been elevated to an art form.
