Back to Back Theatre wins Golden Lion Lifetime Achievement Award at Venice Biennale

The City provides support to Back to Back Theatre, including the provision of the Courthouse as a creative space and home base for the company.

Moreover, Back to Back Theatre is a proud recipient of a 2023 – 24 Community Grant, for MULTIPLE BAD THINGS, the theatre’s next major new work, highlighting their invaluable contributions to our community.

The world premiere of MULTIPLE BAD THINGS will be held in Geelong at the Geelong Arts Centre in April before the performance heads to Brussels (Belgium) and Melbourne.

From 2009 to 2023, Back to Back Theatre undertook 86 national and 124 international seasons of its work.

Also, since 2009, the company has delivered community and education workshops to over 34,000 participants, with a focus on artistic excellence and inclusive practice.
