Break and enters, South Brisbane District

Police are investigating after a string of break and enters across the South Brisbane District early this morning, June 27.

Initial investigations indicate three offenders wearing masks, hoodies and gloves broke into a grocery store on Woogaroo Street, Forest Lake around 12.49am.

The offenders damaged the front roller door and smashed a hole through the glass sliding door, before rummaging through drawers and unsuccessfully trying to open cigarette cabinets.

They left the scnene a few minutes later in an unknown vehicle.

Just before 1am, police were called to a break and enter at a business on Old Cleveland Road, Camp Hill.

Initial investigations suggest four offenders smashed the glass front door of the business, before damaging shelves and items inside.

The offenders fled soon after with a number of goods, including confectionary and a sum of cash.

Police were then called to a break and enter at a service station on Logan Road around 1.10am, where an unknown number of offenders have removed the glass sliding door and unsuccessfully attempted to gain entry to a locked cigarette cabinet using a power tool.

The offenders left the scene soon after.

Later at 2.25am, police attended a break and enter at a business at Cleveland Redland Bay Road, Thornlands.

Initial investigations indicate three offenders broke in through the door using a possible power tool and fled with a quantity of cash and medical equipment.

At 3.30am, police were called to another break and enter at a grocery store on Newnham Road in Upper Mount Gravatt.

Initial investigations indicate four offenders broke the front door locks and managed to gain entry to the locked cigarette cabinet, before leaving with a quantity of cigarettes.

The offenders were wearing dark hoodies and face coverings.

Officers are investigating if these offences are linked, given their proximity and similar entry tactics.
