A matter was raised with the Department of Health about the referencing of a department web page in election advertising material.
The Health Funding Facts web page was created in 2019 and is updated periodically. The website was last updated on Saturday 9 April 2022 to reflect changes as a result of the 2022-23 Budget. Once these updates were made, an error was identified concerning an incorrect date for the data source. This was corrected on Monday 11 April 2022. No other changes were made to content of this web page on Monday 11 April 2022 or subsequent to that date.
The Department takes the Caretaker Conventions seriously and applies them as intended. This matter has been referred to the Australian Electoral Commission for their consideration and assessment.
