Disappearance of Robert Atkins declared Major Crime

Major Crime are investigating the disappearance of Robert Atkins, which has now been declared a Major Crime.

Robert Atkins, 48, was reported missing by his mother on 2 January and is believed to have been murdered.

Tonight Major Crime detectives and Forensic Response Section personnel are conducting a search and forensic examination of a home in Mander Road, Christies Downs.

A press conference will be held on Friday 23 July providing further details regarding the investigation.
