Million Dollar Fish Season 12 is serving up even more excitement with the launch of What’s in the Esky?, a new monthly bonus incentive delivering extra prizes and surprises for anglers throughout the remainder of the season.
While the Season 12 $1 million fish has now been caught, there’s still more than $900,000 in prize money swimming around Northern Territory waterways, with 96 red-tagged barramundi worth $10,000 each still waiting to be reeled in before 31 March 2027.
Every fisho knows an esky is essential for a day on the water, but this season the Million Dollar Fish esky is packed with more than just fishing gear. From 6 November 2026 through to the end of the competition, a new bonus incentive will be pulled from the esky and revealed each month, creating even more opportunities for registered anglers to win.
The first surprise has now been revealed, with November’s incentive, Double the Dough, set to kick things off in a big way. The first registered angler to reel in an eligible Season 12 $10,000 red-tagged barramundi between 6 – 30 November, 2026 will see their prize money doubled, taking home a massive $20,000.
The promotion is a winner-takes-all challenge. Once the first eligible $10,000 red-tagged fish is caught during the promotional period, the incentive will close for the remainder of the month, creating added excitement for anglers eager to land one of the competition’s prized fish.
Double the Dough runs until 11:59pm ACST on 30 November 2026, or until the first eligible Season 12 $10,000 fish is caught, whichever comes first.
Anglers are encouraged to keep a close eye on Million Dollar Fish social media channels and website announcements at the beginning of each month to discover what surprise will be pulled from the esky next.
Season 12 of the Million Dollar Fish competition runs until 31 March 2027. There’s never been a better time to hit the water. Anglers must register for free to be eligible for all prizes, including the monthly bonus incentives, at milliondollarfish.com.au here.
