Remembrance Day Ceremonies 2026

Residents across the Dubbo region will come together on Wednesday 11 November 2026 at 11am to honour and remember the men and women who have served in wars, conflicts and peacekeeping operations.

A Remembrance Day Service, the Ceremony of the Commemoration of the Fallen will be held at the Victoria Park Cenotaph from 10.30am.

Dubbo Regional Council Mayor Josh Black will officiate the service.

“It’s always great to see so many people come together for our Remembrance Day service each year.

“The strong turnout shows just how important it is for our community to continue honouring and remembering those who served, and to ensure future generations understand the sacrifices that were made.” Clr Black said.

Road closures will be in place on Darling Street between Talbragar Street and Wingewarra Street from 10.15am until 11.15am.

In Wellington a Remembrance Day service will be held at the Cameron Park Cenotaph, starting from 10.20am.

The Eumungerie Remembrance Day service will be held at the Eumungerie Cenotaph, starting from 10:45am.

Residents unable to attend a service on the day are encouraged to pause for one minute silence at 11am, reflecting the moment the First World War Armistice came into effect on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month.

The Dubbo RSL Women’s Auxiliary will have red poppies for sale, and the public is encouraged to wear one as a mark of remembrance and respect. Funds raised through poppy sales support veterans and their families through the RSL’s welfare and support services.
