Experienced dietician joins Torres and Cape Hospital and Health Board

Minister for Health and Ambulance Services The Honourable Yvette D'Ath

An experienced dietician has been appointed to the Torres and Cape Hospital and Health Board.

Tara Diversi is the newest member of the nine-person board.

Elthies (Ella) Kris has been reappointed as Chair for a two-year term. Members Dr Scott Davis and Rhonda Shibasaki have also been reappointed to the board for four-year terms.

Minister for Health and Ambulance Services Yvette D’Ath said Ms Diversi was a welcome addition to the board given her vast experience in nutrition and mental health services in regional, rural and remote areas in northern Queensland and throughout Papua New Guinea.

“Ms Diversi has demonstrated experience working with rural and remote Queenslanders and is also a member of the Northern Queensland Primary Health Network and National Dietetic Advisor for the Department of Veterans Affairs,” Ms D’Ath said.

“She has also held various locum positions and roles at Cairns Hospital and the Tropical Population Health Network.

“I know they will both draw on their valuable skills and experience to ensure Torres and Cape residents continue to receive excellent health services.”
