Armed Crime Squad detectives are investigating an alleged firearms incident which occurred in Heidelberg Heights this morning.
Emergency services were called to an address in Bamfield Road about 1.30am on 8 November after reports a man had suffered a gunshot injury.
On arrival police located a man, believed to be in his 20s, with injuries to his upper torso.
He was taken to hospital for treatment.
Officers have arrested a man at the scene and he is currently assisting police with their enquires.
