Fortescue Metals Group steps up as a strategic partner of 2021 Boao Forum for Asia

Fortescue Metals Group (Fortescue) is again supporting the prestigious Boao Forum for Asia (BFA), this year stepping up as a Strategic Partner as the conference celebrates its 20th anniversary.

The four-day annual conference, which commenced in Hainan, China on Sunday 18 April, provides a vital platform to further deepen Australia’s business and political relationships with Asia.

This year’s theme A World in Change: Join Hands to Strengthen Global Governance and Advance Belt and Road Cooperation will encompass topics such as carbon neutrality and climate change, including Fortescue’s clean energy transition and investment in green energy across the globe.

Fortescue Founder and Chairman, Dr Andrew Forrest AO said, “Fortescue has been a proud supporter of the Boao Forum for Asia for 13 years, a recognition of its unique power to bring together political and business leaders across China and the globe to work together to drive prosperity and growth across Asia.

“I am delighted that for this year’s conference Fortescue has returned as a Strategic Partner, where we will look at ways that we can work together to build new opportunities for the future, in areas including the global battle against climate change.
