SMOOTHER RIDES

Our Roads and Works Team has been busy on a series of projects in recent weeks.

In Carisbrook, a new footpath on Bucknall Street between McLachlan and McNeil Streets will improve accessibility.

Major patching of Landrigan Road will also improve driver comfort in the area.

In Maryborough, the bus lane exiting the bus stop alongside the Railway Station has been improved and resurfaced.

PUBLIC TOILET WORKS

From Monday 29 April, the toilet block in the Woolworths Supermarket car park will be closed for maintenance, including plumbing improvements and a tidy up.

The popular Craft Shop at the front of the building will remain open during the works – which are expected to take two weeks.

Alternative public amenities remain open at Phillips Gardens and Clarendon Street.

HAVE YOUR SAY

Road Management Plan

As the road authority for around 1,300 kilometres of roads, 79 bridges and 175 major culverts in Central Goldfields Shire, we are required to update our Road Management Plan every four years.

The review of the Road Management Plan is important because it determines the way in which Council manages, inspects, repairs and maintains its roads.

The aim is to ensure our road network is safe and well presented, while affordable for our community.

You can find out more, review the Draft Plan and provide feedback until 10 May, by visiting: www.engage.cgoldshire.vic.gov.au/roadmanagementplan2024
