Advocates and change makers, members are encouraged to speak out on behalf of girls and young women everywhere. More importantly, Girl Guides NSW & ACT empower our young women to advocate for themselves.

“By empowering our Members, we aim to improve their lives, our lives and the lives of others. Girl Guides delivers a safe place for Members to grow and create a world we all want. A world where girls and young women grow into confident, self-respecting and responsible community members” said Girl Guides NSW & ACT’s State Commissioner Sarah Neill.

Girl Guides NSW & ACT in partnership with Scouts NSW had an information booth in the kids and community section at this year’s Mardi Gras Fair Day and will be marching in this Saturday’s Mardi Gras Parade.

“Diversity, equality and parity are fundamental to the development of the girls and young women who will be the community leaders of tomorrow” said State Program Manager and Board Director Alice Anderson. “Our involvement in both Fair Day and the Mardi Gras Parade shows our commitment to advocacy, our commitment to treating all community members with equity and our commitment to providing a safe place for our girls to grow and develop.”
