Council is seeking expressions of interest from curators, arts professionals, artists and creatives to join our Arts and Cultural Advisory Committee for a two-year term from August 2023 to June 2025.

We are seeking five new committee members with expertise in public art, visual art, art collections, exhibitions or public programming. One of these positions is dedicated for a First Nations creative.

The committee meets quarterly to provide specialist advice to Council and enable community participation in the development, implementation and evaluation of Arts and Culture.

We want you to keep Council informed of the artistic and cultural needs of the community, provide feedback and advice regarding key issues relating to arts and culture.

People who are locally based (live/work/study/play in Nillumbik) or have a strong connection to the Shire are encouraged to apply.

We strongly encourage applications from First Nations Peoples, people living with a disability, culturally or linguistically diverse groups, and LGBTQIA+ community, as well as emerging contemporary artists and curators. Please contact us about your access requirements for this application.

Nominations close on 23 June 2023.

Before applying, please read the committee Terms of Reference(PDF, 301KB).
