New Monthly Market For Wolli Creek: Bayside

Bayside Council has a new Outdoor Markets Guide that outlines the steps to apply, launch and operate a market on Council owned and managed public open space.

Market Edit is the first business to utilise Council’s new permit process for hosting events in Bayside.

A vibrant new community market celebrating fresh food, local makers and multicultural flavours is coming to Cahill Park, Wolli Creek, with its inaugural event taking place on Saturday 12 July.

Presented by Market Edit, the Cahill Park Market will become a regular monthly feature, bringing the community together on the second Sunday of every month to enjoy a lively outdoor marketplace in one of Bayside’s most picturesque waterfront locations.

Visitors can browse an exciting mix of seasonal fresh produce, flowers, artisan products, gourmet street food, fashion, handmade gifts, homewares and unique accessories while enjoying a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere.

The new market will also provide a valuable opportunity for local businesses, growers, food producers and creative entrepreneurs to showcase their products, connect with new customers and support the growing local economy.

The market will create another vibrant destination for residents and visitors to connect, shop local and enjoy the best of Bayside.

This is not a Council run event. Local businesses interested in becoming a stallholder at the Cahill Park are encouraged to submit an Expression of Interest through Market Edit.

Council encourages market operators to host regular markets within the Bayside LGA to activate public spaces, showcase local businesses, and create vibrant hubs where people can connect and explore all things local.
