The Hills Shire Council’s Orange Blossom Festival (OBF) returns more delicious than ever before in 2022.

The long-awaited Festival, which was cancelled in 2020 and 2021 due to COVID-19 pandemic, will feature Council’s main event, Lights, Beats and Sweets, at a new location. But with everything that Hills residents and visitors know and love, including sparkling light installations, toe-tapping live entertainment and yummy sweet treats.

Mayor of The Hills Shire, Dr Peter Gangemi said it was fantastic to welcome everyone back to OBF.

“After two long and challenging years, OBF returns to The Hills Shire to celebrate our region in all its spring glory,” Mayor Gangemi said.

“OBF is about the community and celebrating everything that makes The Hills such a wonderful place to live, do business, raise a family and grow.

“We’ve put together an exciting main event that offers something for everyone.

“I encourage you to gather your family and friends, and join us as we celebrate the return of OBF, as well as support our local business community,” Mayor Gangemi added.

The signature Lights, Beats and Sweets event will take place at Arthur Whitling Park – located next door to the Castle Hill Metro Station in Castle Hill – across three BIG nights, starting on September 8.

Each night is themed and includes:

Youth Night on Thursday, September 8

This evening will focus on our youth with drumming, breakdancing, a DJ and a performance by Dauntless Movement Crew (featuring acrobatics, parkour movement and flames).

Chill Night on Friday, September 9

Friday’s stage line-up includes a series of local performers throughout the park, delivering busker style music.

Family Fun & Movie Night on Saturday, September 10

Saturday will start with library storytime and includes activities, including a reptile show and a magician. When the sun sets, it’s time for family movie night under the stars with the hilarious and awe-inspiring children’s film, Sing 2.

There’s also six food vendors offering some of the the tastiest treats in town. It’s the perfect way to sweeten a night of exploring selfie worthy light installations, soaking up the live entertainment and enjoying non-stop activities.
