Police investigate animal cruelty incident in Lalor

Police are appealing for public assistance after a family returned home to find their beloved puppy deceased in Lalor on 30 September.

Police were told an unknown person gained access to the rear yard of a property in Station Street sometime between 9.30am and 10.30pm.

Once inside the yard, the CCTV cameras were moved before one of the three puppies in the yard sustained fatal injuries.

Local detectives believe the incident was a targeted attack.

Investigators have released images of three-month-old staffy ‘Boss’ who died at the scene.
