Police Seek Information On Assault In Alice Springs 29 March

Northern Territory Police are calling for witnesses after an assault in the Braitling Area of Alice Springs yesterday morning.

Around 5:00am, police received multiple calls regarding a disturbance involving several persons near the intersection of Tietkens Avenue and Priest Street, Alice Springs.

Northern Territory Police attended the scene along with St John Ambulance and located a 31-year-old male unconscious at the side of the road with suspected head injuries.

The male was transported to the Alice Springs Hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition.

Detectives from the Alice Springs Criminal Investigation Branch are investigating the matter.

Detective Sergeant Janice Kershaw said, “Anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or those who may have CCTV or dash cam footage from the area between 5:00am and 5:45am, are urged to contact police on 131 444. Please quote reference number NTP2400031195.”
