Positive COVID-19 Case Update 21 April

Three new COVID-19 cases have been recorded in the Northern Territory in the past 24 hours.

A male, aged 35 who arrived on the repatriation flight from Johannesburg on 11 April 2021 has tested positive for COVID-19.

Additionally, a female, aged 11, and a male, aged 37, who arrived on the repatriation flight from New Delhi on 17 April 2021 have tested positive for COVID-19.

The 11 and 35 year-old’s are displaying mild symptoms while the 37-year old is asymptomatic. All are under the care of AUSMAT at the NT Centre for National Resilience.

Since repatriation flights to the Northern Territory began on 23 October 2020:

· 6668 international arrivals have undertaken quarantine at the Howard Springs Centre for National Resilience.

· A total of 92 positive COVID-19 cases have been reported from international repatriation.

The total number of cases diagnosed in the Northern Territory is 133. All cases have been related to international or interstate travel, with no cases of community transmission.
