Upgrades in Bodega Street/Sugargum Drive, Waurn Ponds are continuing, with a road closure for stage 2 taking place between Cottonwood Way and Rene Street. Completion of this stage is anticipated by Friday 23 February.
Work includes the replacement of pavement, crossovers, kerb and channel and asphalt, as part of the overall Sugargum Drive/Bodega Street enhancement project.
Sugargum Drive/Bodega Street Upgrade Stages:
Stage 1 – Bodega Street from Rossack Drive to Cottonwood Way – Complete
Stage 2 – Bodega Street from Cottonwood Way to Rene St – Underway
Stage 3 – Sugargum Drive from Rene St to Oakwood Crescent – Will commence immediately after stage 2, expected completion date 7 May.
This $2.1 million project is funded by the Australian Government’s 23/24 Roads to Recovery Program.
Residents and businesses who may be impacted by the works have been notified of road closure details.
Traffic Management will be in place during working hours (7am – 4pm). Detour signs will be in place for the duration of the works. Works will occur from Monday to Friday during the hours of 7am until 4pm, weather permitting.
